So the last two months have been hard, sometimes unbearable but our family has strengthened and are moving in the right direction. Bill, Megan and BB just returned from Florida and have closed a chapter in our lives which we never thought we would cross. Easier, it will be never, but calmer it seems as we reflect on good times with our son, husband, brother. Conversations with family and friends seems to be more normal, and the topic of conversation is most often not sorrow filled.
Today, I made a spot on the wall adorned with photos of our son, filled with happy memories and love that we shared together. Those photos, make us smile, of happier times, filled with his great smile that everyone loved. Leaving him behind, never, taking him with us wherever we will go always.
While my husband was in Florida last week, we put in a memorial pond at the house, adorned with Air Force stepping stone, Penn State stepping stone and a puppy stepping stones, American flags....all the things that symbolize our son. It is peaceful to sit on the deck and hear the trickle of water and just remember great memories.
Today, my prayer is that our family, keeps healing, loving, honoring each other, and move forward together. Thank you for everyones prayers, phone calls, visits and love that was outpoured for weeks during our tragic loss.

I really enjoyed seeing Bill golfing on Saturday. He told my dad that he really, really appreciated the pond. :)
